Saw an interesting article about online slot payouts at this site, and I thought it was fascinating how much better the payout percentages are for online slots than they are for land-based slots. But really this shouldn't be surprising at all. Online casinos don't have the overhead on a physical basis that a traditional casino has. No free drinks to distribute, no cashiers to pay to convert chips and tickets to money, etc.

I wonder sometimes if Charles Fey knew what he was doing when he invented the first slot machine? I doubt very seriously if he ever dreamed that his creation would become the junk food of the casino floors, the cotton candy of gambling madness.

Spacejack is Slotland's unique version of the classic blackjack casino game, but with a couple of big differences. In Spacejack, the goals are the same--get as close to 21 without going bust as you can and beat the dealer--but the rule are significantly different. There is no surrender, no splitting pairs, and no insurance.

But in SpaceJack, blackjacks pay considerably more than they do in regular blackjack. The other major difference is that if you hit one hand, you have to hit all three hands. (You play 3 hands at a time in SpaceJack.)

This isn't a true blackjack game, and your chances of hitting the progressive jackpot playing this game are controlled by the computer the same as all the other games. The best possible strategy as a blackjack player would probably be to bet the max on one hand and the minimum on the other two hands. But you'd miss your chance of hitting the progressive playing according to this strategy.

Blackjack players may or may not like this one, but slot players will love SpaceJack as an introduction and variation of regular blackjack.

Slotland has been the subject of a couple of threads over at Casinomeister's forum lately. One poster there was complaining that when he was playing Heavy Metal there, he didn't bet every line. One of the lines he didn't bet on hit the jackpot. Here's my take on it: bet every line. And if you don't bet every line, pay no attention to the lines you didn't bet. Of course any casino is going to show you a potential jackpot on a line you didn't bet; that's just good marketing. And I can't hold that against the casino.

Slotland Progressive Jackpot Won by Student
