The most recent winner of Slotland's jackpot was playing SpaceJack, a variation of blackjack. The player's name was TNVOLS, and he won $66375. According to the article I saw, the player deviated from his normal strategy by mistake and, to his surprise, hit Slotland.com's big jackpot. That's the fun of slot machine games; strategy is not a requirement to win big.

Slotland.com Sponsors Olympic Hopefuls Again
Slotland is again sponsoring the Ontario Olympic curling team this year. In fact, the curling team has now become known as 'Team Slotland'.
Last year the team was able to compete in more tourneys than the year before, thanks to the donations and sponsorship of Slotland casino. This additional experience will increase their chances of actually making it to the Olympics in 2010, which will be a dream come true for the members of the team.
It's nice to know that Slotland cares about more than just playing the slots. In a world where some casinos hire flashers and pay people to name their babies after them, Slotland.com has decided to use their power and influence for good.

Cellular Slot Games from Slotland
Got a cell phone? Like to play slot games? Then Slotland has great news.

Slotland.com released their new slot machines games for cell phones last week, and it's turned out to be something tremendously popular with players. Over $3.5 million was wagered on the new mobile phone slot games in one day last week at Slotland.
Now you can play slot games anytime, anywhere. I don't know if anyone was feeling particularly restricted about where and when they could play slots, but if they were, time to get with the program and start playing at Slotland.

Online Slot Machine Payouts
Saw an interesting article about online slot payouts at this site, and I thought it was fascinating how much better the payout percentages are for online slots than they are for land-based slots. But really this shouldn't be surprising at all. Online casinos don't have the overhead on a physical basis that a traditional casino has. No free drinks to distribute, no cashiers to pay to convert chips and tickets to money, etc.
I wonder sometimes if Charles Fey knew what he was doing when he invented the first slot machine? I doubt very seriously if he ever dreamed that his creation would become the junk food of the casino floors, the cotton candy of gambling madness.
I think I read somewhere that Slotland has a 97.5% payout percentage, which would certainly make them one of the leaders in terms of online slot payouts. I'm not sure whether or not they calculate bonuses as part of their payout percentages or not, but I've heard that they do.
Also, now that I'm thinking about it, the Wikipedia article on slot machines is fascinating. Be sure to check it out if you're looking for something to read.
Be sure to visit our main sponsor, Slotland.

I bet they played the no download slot games at Slotland, too. (Presumably they didn't have the technology to download slot games.)

PC gaming... Not quite dead yet.
PC gaming... Not quite dead yet.
Joystiq - Jul 25 9:37 AM
Reports of the PC being dead as a gaming platform have been greatly exaggerated. The doom sayers have often said its the end. Usually around when a new console generation is set to appear, and yet here we are. Were still gaming on our PCs. Gamerdad has a good look at the PC as a gaming platform, and concludes that its not dead. In fact, its doing rather well. It is ironic, however, the
